Hey everyone! myspace was making me kind of cranky, so I decided to switch back to LJ. I don't even REALLY know if I'm going to use it, but what the hell. Sometimes I feel like typing alot and not always about music, so the myspace for ma.ne isn't exactly the most appropriate location for that.
My name is Matt, I write music using FL Studio 7 and sample various pieces from my hardware collection. I'm not really sure what genre you could call it, I'm influenced by ALOT of different artists and genres. I'm not really into trying to classify my work, and I really despise talking about music in general usually because everyone feels the need to classify everything. Actually, even I want to classify things so I guess I am kind of a hypocrite, maybe it's just human nature.
I love electronic music, rock, hip hop and soul, rnb, drum and bass, electro, jungle, trance, alternative, classical and trip hop. You can kind of see how it's difficult for me to say what's what, haha.
I am on the path to becoming a secondary technology / English teacher. I'm hoping to be able to teach highschool technology classes full time, but my school focus will likely be English. And that's cool too, because I love English and classic literature. I am also a stickler for proper spelling, grammar when possible, and punctuation, so I think it will work out pretty well for me.
My gear list includes:
I figure I'll be making misc / random postings here, and I'll reserve the myspace for actual business work and music hosting. FYI, here is the Virb if you're at all curious or would like to hear! ma.ne @ Virb.com
